This study investigates culturally oriented narrative texts through the lens of Discourse Analysis as a linguistic, pragmatic, and socio-cultural approach. The research examines five analytical levels: lexical, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic, and socio-cultural, aiming to uncover mechanisms of meaningmaking, identity construction, and the representation of values within Ilorin Journal of Translation Studies by Institute of Translation Arts,Unilorin 137 discourse. Findings reveal that narrative discourse is not merely a linguistic structure but a cultural tool for reproducing collective memory, consolidating values, and shaping communal worldviews. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for further Arabic discourse studies that integrate modern analytical tools with the rich legacy of Arabic criticism.
